Positives: One-time highly rated pass rusher whose play has been set back by injuries. Displays good movement skills and plays with balance and body control. Rarely off his feet, displays good change-of-direction ability and makes plays in every area of the field. Fast off the edge and easily pursues the action from the back side.
Negatives: Controlled at the point of attack by a single defender. Displays average quickness in his game. Gets pushed off the line of scrimmage and is a liability in run defense. Returned to the field in 2011 with significantly less explosiveness and speed after his injuries.
Analysis: Martin was a pass-rushing terror who was blossoming into a fine prospect before the injuries to both Achilles. He must pass medical exams and quickly produce in camp this summer to have any chance of even making a practice squad.
