Biography: Two-year starter who lined up at tight end as a senior after holding down the defensive end position in 2010. Receiving totals last year included 15 receptions/201 yards/2 TDs. Posted defensive numbers of 34/6/2 as a junior.
Positives: Hardworking college prospect who's a team player. As a tight end, he blocks with good leverage, keeps his head on a swivel and displays great awareness. Uses his frame to shield away defenders, extends his hands and makes the reception away from his frame. Displays good movement skills at defensive end, showing the ability to slide down the line of scrimmage and make plays outside the box. Quick in all aspects of his game and plays hard until the whistle blows.
Negatives: Marginal blocking strength at tight end. Struggles getting off blocks at defensive end.
Analysis: Drager is an underrated prospect who successfully lined up at several positions for Virginia Tech. He lacks the size/speed numbers for any single position at the next level yet could be a versatile tight end/outside linebacker/special teams player for a franchise willing to find space for him on the field.
