PLAYERS
Biography: Started nine games as a senior, totaling 26 tackles and intercepting two passes. Burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman
with 32 tackles.
Positives: Terrific college athlete who never truly developed into a full-time football player. Remains disciplined with assignments, actively patrols center field and works well with cornerbacks. Quick up the field in run defense, aggressively lays his shoulders into ballcarriers and works hard to make plays. Displays a burst to the ball out of his plant and quick closing to the action. Negatives: Not a strong wrap-up tackler. At times would rather hit opponents than tackle them. Slow getting off blocks. Struggles in man coverage or trying to make plays with his back to the ball. Analysis: Scott possesses the size/speed numbers for the next level and is effective facing the action. He's a developmental prospect who could be used in a zone system if he plays well on special teams. Projection: FA |
