Biography: Four-year starter at left tackle awarded all-conference honors the past two seasons.
Positives: Tough, durable college left tackle who is best in confined quarters. Smart, works well with teammates and keeps his head on a swivel. Patient in pass protection, shows good awareness and picks up stunts or blitzes thrown by opponent. Stays square, keeps his feet moving and extends his hands into defenders to keep opponents away. Sets with a wide base, stout at the point of attack and turns opponents off the line run blocking. Makes good use of angles and body positioning to seal defenders from plays.
Negatives: Lacks footwork in space and overall lateral blocking range. Shows stiffness in his game. Not a natural knee bender. Not light on his feet blocking in motion.
Analysis: Olson was productive and durable on the college level and possesses next-level size. He's a marginal athlete with limited upside and best suited as a backup at the next level if he improves his playing strength.
