Biography: Full-time starter the past three seasons while also seeing action with the first team as a freshman. All-conference selection the past two years. Senior totals included 46 tackles/13.5 tackles for loss/4.5 sacks after he had 39/2.5/10 as a junior.
Positives: Athletic and deceptively strong lineman with size and growth potential. Displays explosiveness, quickly changes direction and shows the ability to get down the line of scrimmage and outside the box to make plays. Tough to stop, powerful and overruns blocks to penetrate the line of scrimmage. Focused on and double teamed in the middle of the line yet holds his ground. Keeps his feet moving on contact, plays with good lean and immediately gets his hands up, using them to protect himself. Gets a lot of momentum going to the action.
Negatives: Does not always play with a great sense of urgency. Marginal pass rusher. Occasionally gets tall and does not consistently play with proper pad level.
Analysis: Reyes has shown an improving game the past three seasons and is a defensive lineman who's been an unstoppable force at times on the college level. He needs to refine his game and consistently play at a high level, but he offers starting potential for a variety of defensive systems in the NFL.
