Biography: Three-year starter at left tackle awarded all-conference honors as a senior.
Positives: Patient college left tackle who projects to guard in the NFL. Quickly sets up off the snap, keeps his head on a swivel and fights hard until whistle blows. Sets with a wide base, keeps his feet moving and blocks with good lean. Stays square, strong at the point and steers defenders from the action. Adequate footwork sliding out off the edge with the ability to adjust to pass rushers. Displays a good degree of quickness in his overall game.
Negatives: Lacks a dominant base and does not get great movement run blocking. Overextends into blocks and occasionally ducks his head. Not a natural knee bender and plays a bit straight-legged.
Analysis: Barclay has been productive and durable on the college level and offers the frame and skill to be a backup guard in the NFL.
