PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter who suffered a season-ending pectoral muscle five games into the 2011 campaign. Totals last year included
22 tackles/2.5 tackles for loss/1 sack after he had 70/17/9.5 as a junior. Sophomore totals included 73/15/9.5. All-conference
selection after his sophomore and junior seasons and was named to numerous All-American teams in 2010.
Positives: Explosive and intense defensive lineman who plays hard until the whistle blows. Moves well about the field, easily redirects to ballcarriers and fluid getting outside the box to chase the action. Bends his knees, consistently plays with leverage and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Fires through the gaps of the offensive line to penetrate the backfield, quickly changes direction and covers a lot of area on the field. Displays a variety of pass rushing moves. Negatives: Lacks natural bulk and handled by opponents if he does not beat them off the snap. Does not display top pursuit speed when chasing the action laterally. Analysis: Crick entered the season with high grades yet saw his campaign cut short by injury and as a result will not receive first-round consideration. He's a solid football player with the ability to be used at a number of positions on the defensive line, and he should only get better as he physically matures and improves his playing strength. Projection: 3rd ![]() Heinz Kluetmeier
