PLAYERS
Biography: South Carolina transfer who started the past two seasons. Senior totals included 29 tackles/3 tackles for loss/1 sacks after
he had 25/6/1.5 as a junior.
Positives: Massive, wide-bodied lineman who takes up a lot of room in the middle of the field. Displays terrific quickness off the snap, solid movement skills and the ability to get down the line of scrimmage and chase the action. Uses his hands well to protect himself, shows the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack and keeps his feet moving on contact. Breaks down well and displays good punch with his hands. Negatives: Does not look well-conditioned and seems to tire as the game goes on. Does not display great power or get a lot of push on the line of scrimmage. Analysis: Nicholls offers the build and style to be used as a defensive tackle or even nose tackle at the next level yet must elevate every aspect of his game and really condition himself properly if he wants a career in the NFL.
