Biography: Full-time starter at right tackle during his sophomore and senior seasons. Missed most of his junior campaign with a back injury. All-Academic performer in the past.
Positives: Large, strong offensive lineman who's displayed flashes of dominance in the past. Stays square, jolts opponents with good hand punch and easily controls them once engaged at the point of attack. Keeps his feet moving, very strong at the point and gets movement run blocking. Works blocks hard and fights to finish off opponents. Patient in pass protection.
Negatives: Rumbles about the field and lacks footwork in pass protection. Not a natural knee bender.
Analysis: Early in his Nebraska career Jones showed a lot of skill, but he has struggled with injuries the past two seasons. He possesses the body type and strength to play at the next level yet must stay healthy and complete his game.
