Biography: Started the first three games of 2011 before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Finished with five tackles, one tackles for loss and a sack last year. Positives: Explosive one-gap tackle whose development has been slowed by injuries. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step, plays with good lean and displays solid movement skills. Works his hands to protect himself, tough to move off the point and shows the ability to quickly change direction or immediately alter his angle of attack. Commands double teams. Quickly locates the action or finds the ball handler.
Negatives: Lacks dominant power on the inside. Numerous injuries are a concern.
Analysis: When healthy and on the field, Forston was a terrific interior lineman who can be used as a three-technique tackle or rotational two-gap end. Injured two of the past three seasons, Forston could find a home on a practice squad if he passes physicals and plays well this summer.
