Biography: Three-year starter who lined up at both cornerback and safety. Senior totals included 69 tackles/1 interception/5 breakups after he had 60/1/12 as a junior.
Positives: Nice-sized, athletic cornerback who displays next-level ball skills. Fluid pedaling in reverse, displays a sense of timing and possesses good hands for interceptions. Shows a feel for coverage, quickly locates the pass in the air and has a nice burst to the action. Good athlete who easily moves in every direction of the field. Works hard to defend throws. A good tackler.
Negatives: Marginally effective at safety. Struggles in zone coverage and does not display good anticipation. Indecisive in situations other than man-to-man coverage.
Analysis: The highly-rated Golden got off to a hot start in 2011 before being moved inside to safety. He struggled there but showed enough ball skills and ability in the past to make one believe he has potential as a nickel or dime back in the NFL.
