PLAYERS
Biography: Broke into the starting lineup as a freshman. Senior totals included 100 receptions/1147 yards/9 TDs after 79/1025/12 as a
junior. Arrested on three separate occasions since 2009 due to various alcohol violations.
Positives: Large, game-controlling receiver who works hard on the field. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, comes back to the ball out of breaks and works hard to make himself an available target. Competes throughout the action, nicely adjusts to the errant throw and gets vertical in a crowd to come away with the ball. Makes the difficult reception with defenders draped on him. Uses his frame to shield away defenders, takes the big hit yet holds onto the ball. Keeps his focus and concentration, looks the ball into his hands and extends to make the reception away from his frame. Makes the reception in stride and effectively follows blocks running after the catch. Solid downfield blocker who seals running lanes open for ballcarriers. Negatives: One-speed receiver who lacks a burst in his game. Occasionally takes his eyes off the ball and lets passes slip through his hands. Does not possess naturally soft hands. Analysis: Floyd has been a force on the Notre Dame offense since his freshman season and a terrific receiver opponents could not stop. He possesses the skills to be a starting wide out at the next level and can develop into a primary pass catcher in certain systems. Floyd possesses the size and skills to have a long NFL career if he focuses on the little things and stays away from off-the-field distractions. Projection: 1st ![]() Damian Strohmeyer
