Biography: Three-year starter who posted 24 receptions/263 yards/3 TDs as a senior after junior numbers of 13/152/1. Posted a career-best 26 receptions for 357 receiving yards as a sophomore.
Positives: Nice-sized tight end who easily moves about the field. Solid pass catcher who adjusts to errant throws and makes catches away from his frame. Offers the quarterback a nice target, makes the reception in stride and displays good quickness. Plays with good pad level, stays square as a blocker and keeps his feet moving on contact. Keeps his head on a swivel and is always looking for someone to hit.
Negatives: Marginal strength at the point of attack and does not block like a 260-pound tight end. Drops catchable throws on occasion. Not a downfield threat.
Analysis: Miller was an adequate college tight end, but he?s an enigma of a prospect. He possesses the size and speed to play at the next level yet never improved his game after a terrific sophomore season. Miller must elevate every aspect of his game to have a career in the NFL.
