Biography: Former Florida State transfer who posted 18 tackles in four games as a senior. Declared academically ineligible before the start of the 2011 season before being reinstated by the NCAA. Junior totals included 55/8/3. Dismissal from the Florida State program came after an arrest.
Positives: Athletic linebacker who has shown a lot of skill. Quick, agile and covers a lot of area on the field. Breaks down well, gets his hands up and effectively uses them to protect himself. Quickly changes direction and easily alters his angle of attack. Explodes up the field in run defense, squares into the ballcarriers and wraps up when tackling. Keeps the action in front of him and stays with coverage assignments.
Negatives: Does not play to his 40-time. Shows a lot of hesitation in his game. Does not sell out on the blitz.
Analysis: Carr is an athletic prospect who looked as though he would be the mainstay on the Florida State defense before off-the-field issues forced him out of the program. He possesses the athleticism and skill to be used as a weak side linebacker in a conventional scheme, but must improve every aspect of his game.
