Positives: Feisty, aggressive cornerback who does not back down from challenges. Displays good awareness, effectively keeps the action in front of him and displays a burst to the ball out of his plant. Works hard to get involved in the action, quick up the field and a terrific run defender. Displays a good sense of timing and positions himself to make plays on the ball.

Negatives: Not fluid pedaling in reverse and prefers to side shuffle. Loses in transition when turning to run with opponents. Struggles making plays with his back to the ball. Does not play fast.

Analysis: Johnson was a productive and steady cornerback for Iowa State and is suited for a zone system or a scheme that has him backed off the line of scrimmage.
