Biography: Full-time starter the past two seasons after seeing extensive action with the first team during his sophomore season. All-conference choice after his senior and junior campaigns. Totals last year included 40 tackles/4 interceptions/9 pass breakups after he had 56/4/11 as a junior.
Positives: Solid cover corner with average size for the next level. Quick flipping his hips, loses nothing transitioning to run with opponents and displays a burst of speed. Explodes to the pass out of his plant, has a nice move to the ball and works hard to deflect away the throw. Effectively reads receivers? eyes and gets his head back around to locate the ball in the air, then correctly positions himself against receivers downfield.
Negatives: Undersized and loses out in battles. Not aggressive defending the run.
Analysis: Fenelus has displayed a variety of skills in pass defense and offers enough ability to make a roster as an eighth defensive back placed on the field in dime situations.
