Reads and diagnoses the action, plays heads-up football and covers a lot of area on the field. Fluid changing direction, smooth pedaling in reverse and fast moving to every area. Displays the ability to slide off blocks, makes plays in the open field and is a solid wrap-up tackler. Shows ability in pursuit or easily runs with backs and tight ends in coverage. Uses his hands to protect himself.

Negatives: Easily blocked from the action at times and gets caught up in the wash. Not a forceful blitzer. Has a reputation for playing soft on occasion. Red flags have reportedly be been raised on his character.

Analysis: Brown is a three-down defender who consistently makes plays on the football defending the run and covering the pass. He offers starting potential at the next level and will be a productive NFL linebacker if he plays to his potential on every snap.
