PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter who posted 61 tackles/13 tackles for loss/5 sacks and three pass breakups as a senior. Junior totals included
80 tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss.
Positives: Terrific college defensive lineman with poor size/speed numbers for the next level. Plays with good pad level, keeps his hands active throughout the action and fights hard to get off blocks. Displays toughness in his game, goes hard until the whistle blows and gives effort getting to the action. Quick off the snap, fluid changing direction and displays the ability to collapse laterally and chase the action. Negatives: Undersized and easily taken from the action by opposing blockers. Possesses a short burst of speed and not effective in pursuit. Analysis: Trotter was very productive on the college level and got every ounce out of his ability. He lacks great size for defensive tackle and the pure speed needed to play defensive end, but he could find a home as a backup three-technique lineman if he shows his worth on special teams.
