primary tight end.
Positives: One-time highly rated tight end coming off a disappointing senior season. Moves well on his feet, extends his hands and offers the quarterback a big target. Solid underneath pass catcher who possesses relatively soft hands. Effectively catches the pass away from his frame. Negatives: Loses focus, takes his eyes off the ball and drops some catchable throws. Waits for the pass to get him rather than coming back to the ball. Average playing speed and not a true downfield threat. Analysis: Coming into the season scouts considered Lair a potential late-round choice, but he was not a big part of Minnesota's offense last season and his draft stock has fallen dramatically. He's a potential move tight end/H-back at the next level but must quickly elevate his game to have any chance of making a roster. Projection: FA
