Biography: Posted career-best rushing totals of 171 attempts/896 yards TDs/4 as a senior when he became Maryland's feature ballcarrier. Also added 17 receptions/141 yards/1 TD as a receiver. Junior rushing totals included 126/720/4.
Positives: Well-built ballcarrier who runs with a nice combination of strength and creativity. Finds the cutback lanes, quickly gets through the hole and displays strength carrying the ball with the ability to break the first tackle. Possesses good vision, runs low to the ground and aggressively puts his shoulders into defenders then drives forward. Keeps his feet moving on contact and can pick up the difficult yardage. Elusive and makes several defenders miss over the course of a single run.
Negatives: Lacks the flat-out speed to beat defenders into the open field or run to daylight. Marginally productive as a receiver.
Analysis: Meggett was a solid player on the college level who could make an NFL roster as a situational back or third-down specialist if he improves his pass catching skills.
