PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter who's been used at both tackle and guard for Pittsburgh.
Positives: Nice-sized lineman who shows a degree of athleticism and versatility in his game. Fires off the snap into blocks, stays square and anchors at the point. Quickly gets his hands into defenders and fights hard throughout the action. Moves relatively well on his feet. Keeps his head on a swivel and works well with linemates. Nasty and attacks assignments. Blocks with leverage, for the most part. Negatives: Lacks a dominant base. Must do a better job sinking his butt and bending his knees at the line of scrimmage. Struggled with a knee injury in the middle part of the 2011 season, which slowed his development. Analysis: Nix was very productive the past three seasons and is a line prospect who offers size and growth potential. He could develop into a starter in the NFL or at the very least could be an inexpensive utility blocker for several positions on the offensive line. Projection: 4th
