PLAYERS
Biography: Two-year starter who finished with 20 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss as a senior after posting junior totals of 36 tackles/4
tackles for loss/1.5 sacks.
Positives: Reliable defensive lineman who does the little things well. Quick off the snap, plays with good pad level and is tough to move off the point. Fluid changing direction, keeps his feet driving on contact and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Tough and plays with pain. Negatives: Rumbles around the field and occupies blockers rather than making plays on the ball. Lacks great size for a defensive tackle and the speed needed to be used at end. Analysis: Tyson was a tough college defensive lineman, but he lacks great athleticism and upside for the next level. He could be used as a two-gap end in a system that asks him to clog the line to allow teammates to make plays on the ball. Projection: 6-7 |
