Biography: Three-year starter awarded all-conference honors the past two seasons. Senior rushing totals included 269 attempts/1115 yards/10 TDs with 29 receptions/350 yards/2 TDs as a receiver. Junior rushing totals included 274/1553/13 with 28/332/3 catching the ball. Totaled 17 rushing touchdowns as a sophomore.
Positives: Small, elusive ballcarrier with the ability to create his own yardage. Runs low to the ground, waits for blocks to develop and follows them everywhere on the field. Shows a burst, displays the ability to immediately change direction and gets through the cutback lanes. Quick-footed and makes defenders miss or strings several moves together in the course of a single run. Adequate receiver out of the backfield.
Negatives: Does not play with great physicality. Lacks size and gets easily brought down at the point of attack.
Analysis: Dunbar is an elusive skill player but lacks classic size/speed numbers for the next level. He has enough ability to be kept on a roster as a third-down back/situational player.
