Biography: Junior college transfer who's started the past three seasons at left tackle. Awarded all-conference honors after his junior and senior campaigns.
Positives: Terrific pass blocking college tackle who projects to guard in the NFL. Sets with a wide base, bends his knees and blocks with leverage. Stays square, quickly gets his hands into defenders and works them throughout the action. Moves well on his feet and is relatively effective blocking in motion. Patient with blocking assignments, keeps his head on a swivel and picks up stunts or blitzes thrown by opponents. Works well with teammates. Plays with a nasty attitude, always looking for someone to hit and gets after assignments. Effectively uses angles in pass protection.
Negatives: Overextends into blocks on occasion. Lacks great footwork off the edge.
Analysis: Brown is an underrated blocker with starting potential for the next level. He plays smart, tough football and has the body type to be used at guard for a variety of NFL blocking systems.
