Biography: All-conference selection last season after moving into the starting lineup and totaling 227 attempts/1272 yards/9 TDs on the ground and 17 receptions/85 yards/1 TD as a receiver. Totals during his redshirt freshman season included 646 yards rushing with six scores.
Positives: Shifty runner with a smooth, effortless style. Runs low to the ground, displays terrific quickness and has a burst. Easily bounces around piles and makes defenders miss. Consistently runs North-South. Quickly gets through the cutback lanes, easily changes direction and loses no momentum altering his angle of attack. Finds the running lanes, has a burst and squirts through the small creases of the defense. Beats defenders into the open field and can run to daylight. Effectively uses his blocks all around the field. Displays soft hands as a receiver. Effective blocker when required. Plays with excellent balance and body control.
Negatives: Not a ballcarrier who breaks tackles or picks up much yardage off initial contact. Displays indecision in his game and is not overly instinctive.
Analysis: Miller comes off a tremendous sophomore season, and his game has taken a big leap forward. He's a creative ballcarrier with the skills necessary to start at the next level, although he may need time to adjust his instincts and learn the professional game.
