Bears made a great choice in snagging Enis

Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King, covering his 15th NFL Draft, checks in with his observations of the 1998 NFL Draft. He'll be checking in every hour throughout the day...
PHOENIX (CNN/SI) -- Here are five things I think I think at the top of the draft.
1.) I think the Chicago Bears made a great pick in Curtis Enis. He's Jerome Bettis with a little burst.
2.) I think we all knew that form would hold with the first five picks. They fell exactly as everyone thought. Two quick observations: Charles Woodson and Eric Allen give Oakland instant credibility in a division that's always been pass-happy. And by Ariz
ona only using seven minutes on the clock to make its selection of Andre Wadsworth, it's clear that smarter heads prevailed in their draft room.
3.) I think Manning is 3 percent better than Leaf and will be, long term, a better pro.
4.) I think Jimmy Johnson is putting his draft picks where his mouth is. The Miami coach said the other day he loves the second round of this draft, and now, after trading the 19th pick in the first round to Green Bay for a low 1 and a low 2, Miami now si
ts with the 29th, 44th, 49th and 60th overall picks. Fasten your seat belts, Dol-fans.
5.) I think if I were Scott Mitchell, I'd be a little worried today. The Lions have their eye on a new
quarterback of the future in Round 2 or 3. It could be Eastern Michigan's Charlie Batch or Michigan's Brian Griese.
