Peter King

Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King, covering his 15th NFL Draft, checks in with his observations of the 1998 NFL Draft. He'll be reporting every hour throughout the day...

PHOENIX (CNN/SI) -- Here are five things I think I think at this hour.

1.) I think we'd all agree that Dallas reached for Greg Ellis.

2.) I think I've never seen a draft hold form for so long as this one.

3.) I think the reason that none of these trades that everyone was talking about got done is because Jacksonville refused to surrender its second first-round pick.

4.) I think Kyle Turley is going to be a very, very good player for New Orleans.

5.) I think that if somebody doesn't make a trade soon, all those guys on ESPN are going to explode.

Through the day with Peter King:

  • Top picks: Bears made a great choice in snagging Enis
  • Pre Draft: Manning a lock for No. 1

  • To the top
