Kansas City Chiefs Victor
Riley 1st round, 27th overall Tackle, Auburn
Comments: Tackle was a big need for Chiefs, but not sure
Riley has what it takes to make an immediate impact. Has been an
underachiever throughout his college career. Need him to be ready to start
at right tackle. Rashaan
Sheehee 3rd round, 88th overall Running back,
Washington Comments: Solid college running back, but not
sure he can be every-down guy at the NFL level. Fits more as a nickel guy,
who carries the ball in spurts. Still need every-down running back. Greg
Favors 4th round, 120th overall Linebacker,
Mississippi State Comments: May be a nice fit for Chiefs
as he will play a lot of the same role that he did in college as a rush
linebacker, although he will be asked to be somewhat involved in coverage
... he is an undersized upfield guy that should be effective blitzer and
chasing down plays ... he will probably backup Anthony Davis at
outside linebacker ... if he is not asked to do too much, he could be a
solid contributor. Robert
Williams 5th round, 128th overall Cornerback, North
Carolina Comments: Played in tandem with Tar Heel
cornerback Dre’ Bly and as a result he got a lot of action his way on the
college level ... small cornerback but has some experience in tight
man-to-man coverage ... not a real flashy guy but very consistent and
doesn’t give up a lot of big plays ... may also be asked to contribute on
special teams and could be a nice addition in nickel package, not sure he
could ever be a starter on an island. Derrick
Ransom 6th round, 181st overall Defensive tackle,
Cincinnati Comments: Will compete for backup defensive
tackle spot. Has some inside one-gap quickness and some decent pass-rush
skills but does not have great defensive tackle bulk vs. run ... stamina
and durability are question marks ... not a pure edge rusher and not quite
big enough to be an inside force ... could be role player. Eric
Warfield 7th round, 216th overall Safety, Nebraska
Comments: A player with great numbers and measurables but
does not play up to his athletic ability ... one-year starter in college
but has been outstanding on special teams ... safety in college, the Chiefs
will take a long look at him at cornerback ... he has all the physical
skills to make it, but something seems to be missing. Ernest
Blackwell 7th round, 224th overall Fullback,
Missouri Comments: Long shot to make roster as backup
fullback but he does have good measurables, explosiveness and athletic
ability for a fullback ... good run skills for a big guy and might fit a
1-back role for Chiefs ... not much background in passing game and not a
great blocker ... if he makes this club it will be on run skills, and not
blocking and receiving.
