| Summary
He is another player that has really created some NFL interest in the post-season after not looking out of place in the Blue-Gray game and Senior Bowl. He had a solid 1997 season finishing with 38 tackles and 3 Int. and he has been a productive player for Hampton starting his career at WR and then moving to DC. He is a little more physical than most DCs and has a very strong body, and was able to post a PB of 18 at the combine, which is exceptional. He has good overall measureables, and posted good jumps and shuttles at the combine, and looked like a very fluid athlete. He has good natural cover skills, although he is way behind in techniques. He is a very raw player that does a nice job jamming receivers at the LOS, and has good enough hips to turn and run, although his techniques are somewhat raw. He has good closing quicks, he shows a short burst to the ball, and he generally has good range and a feel for coverage. He will guess and make some mistakes that are somewhat bothersome, but that may be attributed to his lack of 2 m/m fundamentals. Because of his range and ability to play in his zone type scheme, some people have even projected him to DS. He certainly has the ability to play there, but he has a huge upside as a physical bump and run type DC.
