Summary

Has played ROT and LOT, but started at LOT in final two years at Cincinnati. He is a big physical guy with excellent durability, has started every college game in his four years, knows how to play with nicks and bruises, and has good overall toughness. He is a power type player that loves to lock on and overpower opponent. Excellent explosion and strength at the point of attack. Solid in run game. If he locks on, he will beat most opponents with his physical type play. Shows a little better pass pro than you might think. Has some short mirror and slide ability and is a pretty instinctive pass protector. Anticipates pass rush moves and is not usually out of position...he is not a great athlete and a speed pass rusher or quick player will give him problems, but if he can catch defender, it's over. He is a very smart and efficient player that may sneak up on some people. He is quicker than fast and had a poor 40 time at Indy, which may make him questionable as an LOT, but he could certainly play OG or ROT on the NFL level. Although he is a solid football player, his 40 time may drop him somewhat in the draft.
