Background

1996- Played in all 11 games....worked his way into starting line-up for the final five games...Community College: Was a two year starter for Coffeyville Junior College...was named 2nd team all-conference as a freshman and sophomore...

High School

Attended Thorton HIgh School ( Ill.)...two way starter who was rated as one of the top 75 high school players in the country...listed as a second team all-american by CNN...Academic: Majoring in Financial Studies at Oklahoma.

Summary

Had a little buzz going during the season, but has since cooled off. JC transfer to Oklahoma. Two year starter at ROT, may be a little bit better player than athlete. Does not have fluid movement, does not move well in space, is not a very good workout guy, really needs to improve techniques and fundamentals. Tends to be waist bender and plays high and, at this stage, does not look like a very instinctive or natural player...however, he does have excellent size and toughness and can be very effective when he locks on. He is a strong inside player and he is at his best in a short area "fist fight." What he lacks for in natural ability, he makes up for in toughness and tenacity. This is somewhat a developmental guy that may improve his techniques, but unless measurables and athletic skills improve, it may cost him in the draft.
