Summary

He is a pretty good football player that had an outstanding Indy combine posting an almost unheard of 3.78 SS while showing a VJ of 37 inches and running in the 4.44 range, that will catch anyone’s attention. He has played both DS and DC on the college level, and is comfortable at each position. He has some natural cover skills and certainly shows the AA to be fluid in turns, and has quick hips. There are no physical limitations that would stop him from developing into an excellent cover guy with a burst. However, at times, he really struggles and seems to be non-instinctive and will guess and anticipate. It is hard to put a finger on it, but something seems to be missing in his cover skills. It could very well be that he just needs a lot of technique work and needs to play the ball more than guessing to often. He doesn’t always play with a lot of cockiness and flair, and he may be a little “gun shy” coming off his senior year. However, his combine workout should have improved his confidence and he certainly is worth a long look as a cover DC. The right NFL secondary coach may correct his weaknesses and could have a gem on his hands if that is the case,
