Summary

He is a big, physical guy that is quicker than fast. He has been very productive in his career at ASU, and, off the field, he is an outstanding student with a major in bio engineering. He has been academic All-Pac 10 for his last 3 seasons, and, on the field, he finished the 1997 season with 71 tackles and 1 Int. He is a very smart and effecient DS with a good knack for playing the run, and he will come up hard to run support. He has a lot of provisions and is very physical, but isn’t a great breakdown guy in the openfield. He is somewhat of a straightline player, although he showed good COD at the combine. He is not a real fluid guy and struggles in m/m situations and appears to be a little stiff at times and is a better hitter than tackler....almost a liability in pass coverage, but does lend a certain toughness and aggressiveness to the secondary. Makes up for his lack of physical qualities a little bit by playing with intelligence and awareness, which gets him to the ball and helps him make some plays. He is a typical SS that could probably get by on the NFL level in zone schemes, but he is not a sure openfield tackler, although he should be excellent on special teams and he will be a very coachable and intelligent player.
