| Summary
2-year starter at SS for Hawkeyes and finished 1997 with 60 tackles and 2 Int. He is a very efficient player with a good work ethic and competitiveness, but he is not a great natural athlete with m/m cover skills. He is solid vs. the run, and will come up and show aggressiveness and is a decent open field tackler and is certainly physical enough to play the position. However, he is not a great space player and doesn’t show tremendous breakdown or agility in the open field. As a result, he will miss some tackles and will struggle in his m/m coverage. He is adequate if he can play in zone situations and not be asked to be overly athletic or agile. He is a good college football player that might not quite measure up athletically on the NFL level, but he could at least develop into a special teams performer and back-up DS.
