| Summary
Did not run at the Indy combine...is a 1 year starter for Seminoles, but has played a lot earlier in his career. Finished the 1997 season with 43 tackles and 7 Int., but injuries kept him out of the post-season, and he is still recovering. He is not a very physical player, and although he is fairly willing, he is not very strong at the POA and will never be a big contributor vs. run. He does have good cover skills, and appears to run well, and is smooth in his hips and turns. He does not have a lot of wasted motion, and he can play all types of defenses, which he has done in FSU’s sophisticated program. He has good bump and run abilities, although he is not very physical at the LOS, and he also has a lot of range and ability to get to the ball when playing off. He generally shows good overall ball skills and closing quickness. He does not play consistently on every down and he will have some mental breakdowns that will cost him some big plays. He makes just enough mistakes to keep you from falling in love with him. If he can correct his problems in the consistency and awareness area, he could be a solid NFL DC, although he will never be the physical guy that teams are looking for. He will fill a role as a cover DC, but that is about it.
