Summary

Did not work out at Indy, but should post excellent measurables in his workouts. Outstanding athtletic background and has posted a high-jump of over 7"1'. He started his career at University of Florida and was very productive as a freshman and sophomore but then transferred in 1995 and finished career as two year starter for South Carolina. However, his senior year was almost a washout after he broke his left leg in the season opener in 1997. Although he has excellent AA and speed, he is not a big physical guy and is certainly not a prototype NFL OLB. He must add bulk and size to be an every down player and as one would expect, he cannot take on blocks or play over a TE. His game is based on AA and movement and he must play in space. He does have great range and chaseability and has had some success early in his career as a pass rusher and seems to have a feel for lanes and the ability to get to the QB. He is a guy that seems to have a burst and suddeness to the ball. Some teams are projecting him to a SS position where his size would not be a factor, but that is difficult to do on the NFL lever for a guy who hasn't had any experience there. He could fill in as a nickle OLB and special teams performer, but he is really not a big and physical guy and would have to be protected in a defensive scheme. It is difficult for NFL teams to take a guy high on the draft that hasn't played in a while, but there is enough AA and speed here to make him an intriguing guy for a team to steal in the middle rounds.
