Summary

He is a one year starter for the Nittany Lions and he started off great in his 1997 season, but faded badly, and really struggled in the Senior Bowl, and he has really “cooled” on most NFL draft boards. He has good size and leadership skills, he has an excellent work ethic and has flashed in some games with decent arm strength and the ability to move his team. He has good intelligence, but it doesn't always transfer to the football field. He is not a great athlete and had a poor Indy workout, and is not very mobile in the pocket or explosive. He is really up and down in his accuracy and he can look very bad throwing the ball at times, which he did at the Senior Bowl. He does not have a gun for a big and physical QB, and he seems to be a mechanical type player that is not very natural at the position. Will get a look, but unless he can recapture some of his early 1997 magic in an NFL training camp, it may not be a long stay.
