Summary

As with a lot of Penn State Players, he has played several positions and put in both OL and DL. He finished his career as a two year starter at both OG positions. He did not have a great Indy workout in terms of AA, but he plays with a little more movement and fluidity than his numbers indicate. He is a very competitive and intelligent player and puts himself in good position to make plays. He is very fundamentally sound and a good overall technician. He is actually decent in space and shows some mirror and slide on pass pro and does a decent job hitting a moving target down field. He is not big enough and strong enough to be a mauler and brawler, and he will have a lot of trouble on the NFL level in straight ahead, short area battles with bit DTs. At this point, he needs to block angles to be most effective. He is under sized at 282 pounds and his BP at Indy of 15 indicates legitimate concerns in the size and strength areas. Although he is a very smart player, he will need a year of strength and size development to be able to contribute. It will be up to the NFL team that drafts him to decide if there is enough AA and promise to spend the time that it will take to get him ready to play.
