| Summary
A JC transfer, but 2-year starter at Hofstra....finishing with an outstanding total of 145 tackles in 1997, and also 4 Int., which may indicate that the front 7 for Hofstra was not very stout. He looked good in the Blue-Gray game and established himself as a NFL prospect. He is a big and intimidating type DS that almost plays like an LB at times. He loves to come up vs. the run, takes good angles, is a very aggressive and physical, and loves to create big hits and is always around the ball. Does not have a lot of experience in pass coverage, and may struggle in m/m situations with NFL WRs. May be a little better athlete than people realize, and has some potential to develop in the areas of hips and turns and m/m coverage. Does not have NFL DS type size, but he does play bigger than his numbers. As aggressive as he is, he doesn’t always play under control, and can be exploited by play fakes and a smart QB. He should have enough ability to stick as a special teams performer and has enough upside that he could contribute possibly in nickle situations and zone type defenses. He is so productive on a lower level of competition that he will get a long look on draft day.
