Summary

Fascinating young man with a very interesting background. Nigerian that immigrated to the U. S. Great family and background. Started his career at TE, but was high school RB. Moved to DE in sophomore year and has been three year starter. Finished 1997 with 45 tackles, 6 RFLs and 4 sacs, but was slowed much of the season by a sprained ankle and actually had better production in his sophomore and junior years. Had a great Hula Bowl and was named the MVP and showed excellent pass rush skills. He is an outstanding physical specimen and looks like a pro bowler getting off the bus. He did not have a great combine workout in terms of speed, but he is a good athlete and shows solid ability to rush off the edge and chase down plays. He is very smooth in the open field and looks a lot faster than his numbers indicate. All of his attributes are in the AA and pass rush area. He does not do a great job versus the run and is another one of those guys that is more comfortable in space. He does not always play with great leverage and can be overpowered by a big OT. His game is all about quickness and explosion and he usually beats the OT with his first step. He is a little bit of an up and down guy and although it may not be a character flaw, he seems to disappear from games and at times does not look very instinctive. However, by all accounts, he is a solid young man and he should get better. There is a lot to develop here, but consistency must improve.
