| Summary
This a junior player that entered the draft and should have stayed in school....after and outstanding high school career where he gained almost 5000 yds and scored 76 TDs...he came to E. Carolina with a lot of fanfare...he had a great 1996 season rushing for 1745 yds. and 14 TDs...and really gaines alot of attention but then struggled in 1997 and only finished up with 457 yds. and 0 TDs and caught 21 passes for 1 TD...behind an OL that simply couldn’t provide good blocking for him...he is a short RB with pretty good strength and power for his size...it is difficult to evalute him based on his last year because he did not show a lot of quickness or elusiveness and did not create many very big runs...although as already mentioned, he did not have much of a supporting cast...he is not a big and physical guy that can carry an offense by himself and he does not have the speed and boost to create alot of long runs or big plays...he is a very effiecient runner that is productive when he has good upfront blocking and he can be at least adequate in the passing game but he lacks any special skills that would make him dominate on the NFL level...there may be a couple of NFL teams out there that liked him all from his 1996 season that will take a look but lack of true size for a power RB and speed to be a nickle performer or big play guy will hinder his chances of sticking...somebody gave this guy the wrong advice about declaring for this draft.
