Summary

Came to Northwestern as a highly touted LB, but quickly moved to DE. Was really more like a 34 rush end, but had some LB responsibilities. He is a prototype undersize pass rushing type OLB that may lack size to be an every down player. He was very productive in 1997 finishing with 75 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He is a disruptive force as his stats would indicate, and he plays with great enthusiasm and tenacity. He has a natural feel for the ball and puts himself in good posiltion to make plays. This guy is a very effecient football player that is well prepared and rarely makes mistakes. He has a little speed and explosion off the edge and actually plays a little faster than his numbers indicate. He is an excellent run and chase guy and has good ability to get over the trash and make plays. He is the type of player that stays on his feet and breaks down well in the open field. All of his problems are in the size area. He is not big enough to be an every down player and may not be quite athletic enough to be a full time OLB. He has little experience in drops and might not match up athletically as a linebacker. He is a situational type player that if used properly, could give a team some pass rush and special teams production and he would certainly be a good guy to have on the roster.
