Three year starter at Southern Miss, finishing the 1997 season with 12 receptions for 108 yards and 2 TDs. Has played a lot of football, but not used much in the passing game and does not have much production catching the ball. He is a good looking physical speciman and plays with decent toughness and has been a durable player. It is difficult to evaluate him as a receiver, but he appears to have adequate hands and the ability to be fairly effective in the short to intermediate range offense. He is not a guy that will stretch a defense and he will probably struggle against good M to M coverage. He is an adequate blocker, but not as dominating and physical as his size would indicate. He gets fairly good position and stays on his feet, but he is not overpowering at the POA. If he becomes more physical as a blocker and can catch the ball at least well enough to contribute on 3rd down, he could have a chance to stick with an NFL team. He is somewhat of an unknown, but there is an up side.
