Summary Chavous is another big DC that some people have even projected to be a DS. He is a very physical player with excellent size and overall AA. He has good ball reactions and instincts, and seems to get a good jump on the ball. His hips and turns are adequate, and he is physical enough to jam at the LOS. He is not a great deep speed or burst type player, but he has good overall range, and he will get to most plays. He may have some trouble matching up against a real quick WR, but he would be excellent in zone schemes, and can cover all the intermediate and underneath routes. He is also a solid tackler, and should be good on run support and special teams. He has not received a lot of notoriety nationally, but NFL teams know about this guy.
