Summary

He is a tough guy that has gone through a lot of adversity and tragedy in his WSU career. He lost his wife in a fatal car accident in the summer of 1996 and it obviously has affected him, but he has really come back strongly and has been a three year starter at OG for the Cougars. Had his best year in 1997, he has a pretty decent punch and adequate size, and plays with good fundamentals and techniques. He uses his hands well and gets good separation from defenders. He has adequate short area range and movement on pass pro and shows a little mirror and slide, but he's not real pretty doing it. He does not have a lot of range in his run blocking, but if he can lock on, he can be fairly effective. He is not great in space and he does not always look real athletic. He has been well schooled in the passing game and should be able to hold up okay in that area. He may have some problem on the NFL with big and physical DTs that are head up, but he is a pretty resourceful guy and will work to get the job done. Not a very exciting player, but he does have quality deep snapping ability and if he continues to excel in that area, he could certainly make an NFL team as a deep snapper and #7 or #8 OL.
