Summary

Here is another tweener that may have problems finding the right niche in the NFL. He actually came to TCU as a QB. but then moved to DE as a sophomore. Basically, a one year starter for the Horned Frogs, but made the most of his senior year finishing with 59 tackles, 4 TFLs and 8 sacks and earning all WAC honors. He also played in Blue-Gray game and was fairly impressive, both in practice and in the game and showed some pass rush ability. He has emerged as a decent pass rush candidate. He has nice quickness and explosion off the edge and shows good ability to chase down backside plays and breakdown in the open field. He actually plays a little faster than his times indicate and he does a nice job of getting to the ball in space. He is not big enough to play down or be a force versus the run and he can easily be engulfed by a big OT. He uses his hands well, gets good separation and generally stays on his feet and gets through the "trash." He cannot be an every down player on the NFL level and he may not be athletic enough or fast enough to be a true OLB. He has very little experience in pass coverage and drops and it may be asking too much of an NFL team to project him to OLB. He is another player that looks like a situational pass rusher that must earn his salary on special teams and fill in where ever he can.
