Summary

This is a guy that has never really been a full time starter at Arkansas, but he has had a considerable amount of play time, but marginal production. He finished the 1997 season with 24 tackels, 4 TFLs and 1 sack. The reason he is a potential draft pick is because of his AA and size. He is a big and massive guy that can flat out run. He has rare speed for a big man and he ran a 485 40 at the combine carrying 308 pounds while posting a 32 1/2" VJ. Those are great numbers and cannot be ignored by NFL teams. However, he is not a natural football player. He does not make a lot of plays. He is not around the ball a lot and his reactions tend to be slow. He does not play close to his athletic numbers, although at times he will tease you with some pass rush and upfield quickness and explosion. He looks better in space and in isolated one on one sitautions than he does in a crowd. Something seems to be missing in this guy. With his abiltiy and to not ever be a starter on the college level, something is wrong, but you can bet that several NFL teams will take a long look at him and try to find out what's missing. If they are successful, they could have a steal in the later rounds.
