Summary

He started his football career as a high school QB and has a strong AA background. He is a two year starter at TE and also doubles as a solid long snapper. He caught 28 passes for 296 yards and 1 TD in 1997 and was named first team All Big East. He has a good AA and really looks smooth in the passing game. He catches the ball naturally, can go up and make the tough catch and seems to have a good feel for zones and has the ability to get open. He plays with good overall instincts and has a little quickness to escape M to M coverage. He will come over the middle and make the catch in traffic and is a competitive guy. He is not a power blocker, but he does a better than average job of positioning himself and walling off. He has decent adjust in the open field and is more effective than you would think. He is not really a deep threat and he is not necessarily a big play guy, despite his natural passing skills. To be a productive NFL TE, he needs to get a little stronger as a blocker and develop his long snapping ability which should carry him on a roster. He has enough versatility to give him a solid shot to make a team.
