Summary

He may be the most exciting small school guy in this draft. Although he is coming off a sub-par senior year which saw him develop mononucleosis and he never really got untracked and healthy and finished the year with 30 tackles and 3 sacs...however, when healthy in 1996, he had 60 tackles, 16 sacs and 13 PFLs. This is a play that will be picked based on his workout numbers. He lit it up at the Indy Combine and there is no question he is an outstanding athlete with excellent quickness and explosion and overall weightroom strength. He had a sold week at the Senior Bowl and certainly did not look out of place athletically. He is difficult to evaluate on film unless you look at him as a junior. He dominates physically on the Ivy League level, but he is not real natural football player. He has a lot of pass rush ability that can be developed and he has the size and AA that scouts and coaches are looking for. He is not an accomplished run stuffer and needs a lot of work on techniques and fundamentals. He is as raw as they come, but there is so much up side athletically here that somebody is likely to take a chance on this guy fairly high in the draft, possibly on the first day. It is difficult to tell if he is just a great athlete or if he has a real chance to be an NFL player. Only time will tell.
