| Summary
Has a great athletic background and started his career as a DS before becoming a three year starter at OLB. He has been highly productive for all of his career and finished the 97 season with 94 tackles, 13 TFLs, 6 sacks & 3 INTs. He had an outstanding Indy combine where he ran under 4.60 and a vertical jump of 37 and a BJ of 106. Some people have projected this guy as a DS, but at this stage of his career, he is more natural at OLB although he lacks great size. He is an outstanding athlete that is moving up the draft charts in the post season. He has tremendous speed and open field range and covers alot of ground for an OLB. He is not a big and physical guy and looks more like a nickle OLB that must play in space. He can fly to the ball and takes good angles and can be very productive if uncovered. He does not have the size or strength to play over a TE, but this guy can be an outstanding player if he can freelance and play sideline to sideline. He has excellent feet and a nice burst for an LB. He has good overall coverage skills and can turn and run with a RB and also drop nicely into zone coverage. He has a great feel for the pass game and doesnt appear to have an athletic weaknesses. He still is the guy that can be overmatched if a blocker gets to him and he is sometimes inconsistant on getting off blocks. He fits perfectly into a weak side OLB role and is the guy that can stay in a nickle and should be a STs warrior. This is a unique player in this draft that can really add athleticism and big play ability to a defense and will go alot higher than many people think.
